We have stayed at the Hilton North Houston serval times over many years. I have seen the standard of the hotel decline in the recent years. Firstly on arrival at Houston Airport we were left waiting over an hour for the shuttle, told twice by phone that the shuttle would be there in 10min. Eventually we paid another shuttle to bring us to Terminal A where we picked up the Hilton shuttle that never went to Terminal C. We stayed on floor 10, the corridor to the room is highly stained and smelled of vomit. Obviously no real cleaning had been done in a long time. The room was well made up and generally clean but again it was obvious that the room cleaning is superficial. The toilet in en-suite had been modified to reduce water usage by installing a plastic container in the reservoir but the volume of water would not flush the toilet properly, so flush 5 times 🙄. We visited the bar at 9:45pm, shortly after arriving at the hotel to be told the bar and bar food service ends at 10pm. I can somewhat understand the 10pm closure for food but closing the bar as well ? Most of the seats around the bar are stained and need cleaning, table tops are dirty or wiped with a dirty cloth. Masking tape repairing damage to the carpet, what happened to the Hilton standard. Breakfast was poor, buffet style with 100% self service, including setting your own table. The hotel needs well trained and effective employees. The gentleman that checked us in the evening of April 5th and the man showing clients to tables for breakfast were excellent at their job. I think we will try a Marriott the next time as their level of service and cleaning is much higher and consistent.

Brad at the Frontdesk is truly an asset for this hotel. He made me feel at home during my extended stay. His knowledge about so many worldly things made me very relatable to him. He is super efficient and remembered me. Will definitely return. The rooms are spacious and nicely updated and breakfast is good.

A horrible experience!!! Stolen cars!!!

This hotel is dangerous! The first night I got there my car got stolen! Management knows that this is happening and have done nothing about it! Right away they tell you you park there at your own risk! And they don’t even offer valet parking! They couldn’t even give me a ride to enterprise to get a rental to get back home! A very rude manager that did not care one bit about what had just happened! Please do your research! You will find that the area is very dangerous and many cars have gotten stolen and they have not put additional security or added cameras knowing this! I had no choice but to come back to an event that was planned at the same hotel but stayed at another hotel 2 weeks later and when arriving there I found out again 2 other guests had just gotten their vehicles stolen! Very disappointed and very suspicious that all this is happening still and again nothing was done for this poor families! Be aware and don’t stay here!! Very dangerous area! It’s in Greenspoint which is not a safe area!!!

My entire stay was great. From a quick and efficient check in to a seamless checkout experience. The entire staff was super friendly and great. Brandon and David were a huge help, they both greeted me as i checked in and wished me safe travels as i checked out.
